The textbook is devoted to identifying and analyzing the essential characteristics and the main components of comparative political science as a key independent section of political science, designed to study the world of political in the most important aspects and manifestations in different national-historical, sociocultural and political and cultural conditions. First of all, the content of such concepts as "Methodology of comparative studies", "comparative study method", "comparative analysis" is revealed. The main milestones and factors of the forms of evolution and the institutionalization of this scientific and educational discipline are shown. The boundaries of the circle covered by it problems, issues, institutions and phenomena are determined. The main attention is focused on a comparative study of the forms of government, political systems and regimes, toilet and federalism, party systems, political culture, etc.
