Since January 1, 2011, rules regulating the procedure of extrajudicial settlement of legal disputes - the mediation procedure, have been in effect in Russia. The successful application of the new rules will be facilitated by the first (article-by-article) scientific and practical commentary on the Federal Law "On Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedure with the Participation of a Mediator (Mediation Procedure)." The commentary was prepared by lawyers - scholars of the civil procedure department of the Ural State Law Academy, who are also practicing mediators accredited by the Center for Legal Technologies and Reconciliation Procedures (Mediation) of the Ural State Law Academy.
