The book contains articles by comic book researchers from Russia and foreign countries. Six sections are presented in which the study of comics is distributed in accordance with geographical or thematic affiliation. The first three sections are devoted to comics and animations of Russia and the USA, as well as the Asian region - China, Korea and Japan. The next three sections analyze comics from different countries, but are united by the thematic blocks of “Horror in the Comics”, “War and Comics” and “The expressive capabilities of comics”. The collection was prepared mainly according to the materials of the VI International Conference “World of Comics”, held on March 19–20, 2021 on the basis of the Ikvia NIU HSE in online format. The book is addressed to a wide range of readers - academics and specialists of various disciplines, interested in the study of comics from a professional point of view, as well as all fans of Russian, American and Asian comics
