Remember how, in childhood, lying in bed, they were afraid to hang his hand down, or how they accelerated, leaving the bathroom at night and turning off the light behind them? And how even now, when we know very well that there is nothing there, we are still afraid of darkness? In the world of terrible fairy tales, Emily Carroll in the dark, there is always something. Something terrible. Something unfamiliar. Or worse - it seems to be familiar, but you cannot get rid of the feeling that something is wrong. It can be your friend, brother or groom, it can be the whole world around you, which, like a forest, seems to be less familiar with every step, and more and more terrible. Often, a Canadian Gothic genre of Canadian Gothic, which is very important for America, is not trying to scare the reader with monsters or blood, although there are plenty of another in the book. The much worse than the oppressive sense of mystical horror, which Carroll masterfully hides in the slightest details of the drawing on each page. They are not immediately recognized rationally, but instantly settled somewhere in the back of the subconscious and slowly pick up your nape with a fingernail, forcing goosebumps to run throughout the body. Moreover, for this atmosphere of horror, all components of the work are important, including unique Lettering, which in our publication is entirely performed manually and approved by Carroll itself
