"The taste of cherries ... cool ... The fresh smell of the river ... So we lived in the hill in the hills, covered with bad things, away from the world, as if on the island friendly and cozy. And then ... then everything changed ... "
Thus begins the graphic novel "Three Shadows". It is based on the real story of the author’s friends. This is a nimble soul, a metaphorical and very delicate story about the loss of a child, but with a truly bright, wise and good ending. Siril Pedrosis shows the reader emotions and experiences that people can experience in such a situation. When you read the comic, it seems that the author is nearby and holds the hand, helping together to survive and comprehend what is happening.
Friendly family - Louis, his wife Lisa and their little son Zhoakin - lives in a small house away from noise and fuss. They are absolutely happy and enjoy every new day lived together. Until three shadows appear on the hill. Three horsemen. At first they just stand still and observe, then disappearing, then appearing again. But then, right in the middle of the night, they find themselves on the threshold of the house and almost abduct Zhoakin. Then the parents understand: the riders came for their son to pick him up forever ...
With a broken heart, the mother tries to find calm at the local sorceress, but the father flatly refuses to give up! He is trying to run away, take his son as far as possible, hoping that in the distant parts the shadows will not be able to find them. But shadows are fate itself.

About the author
Siril Pedroza was born on November 22, 1972 in the French city of Poitier (now he lives in Nantes) As a child, Siril was read out by comics about Asterix and Gaston Lagaff and adored Disney"s cartoons, but the books of Ogu Pratt and American authors were a genuine revelation for him, thanks to which he realized that he wanted to become an artist. However, it was not immediately possible to realize the dream: Siril"s father hoped that his son would become an engineer and finish the mathematics faculty with brilliance. Alas, these hopes were not destined to come true: after three years of study, Siril realized that he was not interested in mathematics and, having received a diploma in a humanitarian specialty, eventually entered the Parisian school of animation. From 1996 to 1998, he has already worked in Disney studio in the team of artists of such well-known full-length films as “Gorbun from Notre Dama "and" Hercules". The decisive in Cyril’s creative fate was a meeting with the comic screenwriter David Shovel, with whom he made a four -volume series "Ring Circus", for the first time performing not only a schedule, but also a colorist. In the mid-2000s, Pedroza switched mainly to single-volume graphic novels, each of which became a real comic life event: "Three Shadows" (2007)," Portugal "(2011)," Equal-Others" (2015), "Golden Age) "(2018).
In 2008, the graphic novel Siril Pedrose "Three Shadows" received the main prize of the festival in the Angulus
