The ideology of Peter the Great is a historical crossroads and a choice of a model for state development

The presented monograph is devoted to the analysis of the views of Peter the Great, which formed the basis of the state ideology of Petrovsky rule. The influence on the king of social theories that has become widespread in Europe of the line of the XVII-XVIII centuries, the global political context in Europe. The attitude of Peter I to existing religious movements was revealed, an answer is given to the question of whether he was an adherent of the Orthodox teaching. The authors revised the historiographic and social stereotypes that have developed in relation to the ideology of Peter I.
