The efforts of the Publishing House "White Apple" since May 2017 in Russian begins to publish the famous series of comics "Pedigree hip-hop". The author of this series, Ed Pisskor, tells about his idea: “I have long wanted to tell a story in which the narrative would be built on the landscapes of hip-hop environment, but I did not have a clear idea of how it should look.” The Hip-Hop General Hip-Hop series describes the events that took place at the stage of the formation of hip-hop as a full-fledged culture between the end of the 1970s and until the mid-1980s. In 2013, the comic received the prestigious Icener Prize as a comic book series, News was recognized York Times the bestseller of the year among graphic novels, and The Washington Post included it in the list of the 10 best graphic novels of 2013.
