Everyone knows about the famous Stonehenge. But are there such objects in the north-west of Eastern Europe? It turns out there is. The author summarized the information about the several of the most famous “stone observatory”, which managed to form a rather significant number of publications, as well as during a number of expeditions to check experimental assumptions in practice. This edition also proposes a hypothesis that some compositions
from the holes on the stones that have been preserved to our time could be the schematic contours of the constellations.
In the final part, two calendar-zodiac artifacts are described presumably the XVI and XIX centuries. The materials of the book will be interesting to ethnographers, folklorists, astronomers, local historians, as well as everyone who is interested in the history and culture of Belarus and the Baltic states
