Stigmata

The graphic novel "Stigmata" is a kind of modern De Profundis: the story of an unsettled alcoholic, who unexpectedly, including for himself, opened stigmata - non -healing wounds in their hands, like the saints. Performed in an expressive, and sometimes giving insanity, the novel is saturated with biblical allusions and quotes from the life of St. Teresa from Lizya. And all this in order to remind us of the ancient truth: even in the most pitch darkness there is a chance to go to the light.
This book is the result of cooperation between the excellent Italian screenwriter Claudio Piercesi and the outstanding Italian artist Lorenzo Mattoty, the holder of the Grand Prix of the International Biennale of illustrations in Bratislava and the American award of Willa Iisner in the field of comics
