1933. Soviet Russia. A young couple goes to the shore of Lake Onega next to the former noble cottage confiscated by the Bolsheviks. The girl in a wheelchair is accompanied by a gloomy young man with a bandage in the eye. They turn to the artist drawing on the shore, and start a relaxed conversation.
The girl’s piercing look and the royal become young men give out class enemies of the new government in them. They hide their names, and this meeting is hardly accidental. They are attracted by the old cottage - a dumb witness of the secrets of the Russian Empire. Among the confusion and red terror, the girl and her silent servant should find the fragments of her past in the protracted vice of a new order
