“My New York Diary” is the autobiographical stories of the Queen of the Canadian underground comics Julie Dus. After graduating from the Art College in Montreal, she goes to New York to professionally perform at the American comic-scene. However, the artist’s self -realization interferes with toxic relationships. In a drawn diary, Julie describes the harsh realities of his own life with irreconcilable frankness and answers the question of what it means to be one of the few women among the comixists of the 1990s.
In 2000, “My New York Diary” was awarded the FireCracker Award in the nomination “Best Graphic Roman”, and also nominated for the Harvey Award
