What is this book
Graphic novel "Logicomic" is an epic story of a trip to the basics of mathematics, and it covers a temporary period of 60 years. Participants in this heroic intellectual trip paid for knowledge a high price - exorbitant personal suffering and even madness.
History captures, but it sets out the most difficult philosophical and mathematical ideas! We see that the struggle for philosophical discoveries is associated with personal internal shocks, they take place against the background of important historical events and ideological battles.
The role of the narrator is given to the most convincing and inspired participant in events - the great thinker, philosopher and pacifist Bertrand Russell. It is with his eyes that the reader perceives the ideas of such great thinkers as Frege, Gilbert, Poincare, Wittgenstein, Gedel. And it is through his passionate involvement in this journey that different threads of the narrative are combined.
