During the days of the anniversary dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first flight of a person into space, my brother and I, walking on Moscow places of celebration, learned that on the same days the second stage of the K. E. Tsiolkovsky museum of the Cosmonautics Museum would be opened in the city of Kaluga , the construction of which has been carried out for many years.
We were looking forward to this discovery. And here, to top it off, we received an invitation to take part in the space festival "108 minutes" on the territory of that same museum. Of course, we immediately hit the road!
Kaluga - without exaggeration, a very beautiful city located on the high banks of the Oka. Here, the real abundance of various historical buildings, beautiful, bright, original urban architecture, and if all this is multiplied by a marvelous, picturesque nature surrounding the city, it becomes obvious that Kaluga and its environs can be admired endlessly.
And this city has its own special spirit, you can even say your own wonderful secret. If you have ever dreamed of space worlds, dreamed of flying into space, about intergalactic flights, so it means here, because the whole city is permeated with the spirit of space wanderings. Perhaps this spirit of Kalug was always filled, otherwise why it was on this earth that the great dreamer and scientist, founder of modern cosmonautics and the Cosmos thinker Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky lived and implemented his ideas. He lived in Kaluga all his maturity and old age from 1892 to 1935. For a long time ahead of his time, the scientist dealt with the practical issues of space, which many years later formed the basis of Soviet rocket science. If you look around, Kaluga seems to stretch upward hills, sharp lifting of streets, with its surprisingly elongated bells, city steles and real missiles. Maybe this place has some special, personal gravity to the sky
