“In this corner of the world” is the historical manga of Fumiyo Kono about the life path of a young Suzu, a modest girl, capable of an artist and dreamers from Hiroshima. At the age of 18, she marries by agreement between her parents and moves to the town of Kuri, where during the Second World War was located the base of the Navy.
It is difficult for residents of peacetime to imagine what war is, reading the reports of the number of dead, but the personal stories of those who lived in those years, their little joys and great sorrows leave a deep mark in their souls.
