Japan, 1782. Manji is a single samurai, doomed to immortality. Once he meets Rin, a 16-year-old girl who longs to avenge the death of his parents and who hires Manzi a bodyguard. “The Blade of the Immortal” is the most famous and large -scale work of Hiroai Samura (“Snow Maiden in the Spring Wind”, “Bladharli Wagon”), which was published from 1993 to 2012. In this manga, Hiroaki Samur moved away from the usual canons of the Samurai action movie and returned the popularity of this genre again. The “Immortal Blade” was awarded numerous awards, including the Aisner Prize, and received several adaptations, the last of which was released in 2019
