Tom Gold is a British illustrator and author of comics. His book Goliath is based on the famous myth of David and Goliath. The protagonist, a giant from a heifa, in a patrol service prefers the work of the administrator at the headquarters. He is not enthusiastic about participating in hostilities. But by the will of the king he is sent to a special task from which he will not be destined to return.
In 2012, the book was nominated for the award of Will Icener in the Best Comic nomination.
About the author:
Interest in drawing at Tom Gold (b. 1976), arose at an early age - even then he began to create "Funny stories with pictures" for his friends. Children"s hobby grew into the profession: Gold entered the Edinburgh College of Arts, and after its end went to London. Here, at the Royal College of Arts, he met the artist Simone Lia, with which Cabanon Press founded in 2001.
Currently, Gold is actively cooperating with The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Believer and New Scientist. His comics are published in the Canadian publishing house DRAWN & QuARTERLY and translated around the world.
