"Eternavt" is a cult Argentine comic book, the most famous work of the legendary duo of the screenwriter Eector Oerheld and artist Alberto Brechi. In Buenos Aires, snow falls, killing all living things, and in an instant takes thousands of lives. The family of Juan Salvo and his friends, hiding in the house, miraculously escaped. But they have nowhere to wait for help: to repulse the unknown enemy, the heroes join resistance. The deadly snowfall evokes thoughts of a nuclear war, but the enemy is much more ominous and dangerous than anyone could imagine. The Eternavt became a foreboding of the disaster that occurred in Argentina in 1976-1983, and its heroes are a symbol of the resistance of Latin America. Oeserheld with terrifying insight predicted not only a military dictatorship, but also his own tragic fate: in 1977, the Argentinean military arrested and killed an outstanding author and his four daughters. Full of despair, the story of Oserheld in the interpretation of Brechcia with his bold artistic experiments in many respects was ahead of his time and, like a real classic, finds a response today. Can we avoid disaster?
