The diary of Anna Frank is one of the most famous documentary artifacts of the Second World War and at the same time a soulful and sincere story of a teenage girl.
Anna received a notebook as a gift from her father for the 13th anniversary and kept a diary for three years, while together with her family (German Jews) was hidden in a shelter from the Nazis. In the diary, she talks about what is happening around - about domestic troubles, about her experiences, about family and friends - and all this against the backdrop of the disaster of war.
The graphic novel was created by Ari Folman and David Polonski - a screenwriter and artist nominated on Oscar and received the Golden Globe of the cartoon Waltz with Bashir. By 2019, Ari and David are preparing a cartoon on the Diary. The adaptation was approved by Anna Frank, who oversees publications around the world
