The “blankets" is an autobiographical novel in which the comic book Craig Thompson talks about the suffering and doubts accompanying growing up. The events of these frank memoirs are played against the backdrop of winter landscapes of the Middle West of the United States and show provincial life in a family of Christians, where the severity of education is proportional to the severity of faith. The “blankets" is an expressive portrait of a vulnerable adolescence: loneliness and confusion, first love and a broken heart, a crisis of faith and a search for oneself. The living drawing of Thompson and his extraordinary graphic compositions make this story recognizable and understandable readers of different generations at any end of the world.
In 2014, the book of Craig Thompson received awards of all the prestigious American comics awards: "Balts" - twice winner of the award Willa Icener, three times - Harvey Kurtzman awards and twice - Ignatsu awards.
