The collection of words and articles by Archimandrite Raphael (Karelin) is called "Come, Lord Jesus!" not by chance. This phrase concludes the Revelation of the Holy Apostle John the Theologian, the most mysterious book of the New Testament, prophesying about the final destinies of the world, the Second glorious Coming of Christ, and the Dreadful Judgment. Today, our time is often referred to as pre-apocalyptic, when the predicted loss of faith and Christian piety foretold by the Holy Scriptures and the holy fathers is taking place.
In the articles that shed light on contemporary issues, Archimandrite Raphael touches upon questions of spiritual life, which is inconceivable without repentance and prayer. He shows the depth of the connection between the spiritual state of humanity and that final threshold that will inevitably come: the less faith remains in people, the sooner the end of human history approaches.
