A new approach to designing pneumatic suspension systems for motor vehicles is presented, involving the simultaneous use of two, three, or four different types of damping devices (inertial-friction shock absorbers, dynamic dampers, air dampers, and hydraulic shock absorbers) to form combined damping systems. These systems provide increased vibration protection properties and smoothness of ride for motor vehicles throughout the entire frequency range of transportation vibration when damping devices are rationally combined.
