The book sets out a referential approach to the description of the main lexical value. It is defined by an interpretation, but the dual structure of the cognitive units "prototype - core", where the prototype is the visual characteristic of typical word referents (it helps to understand the heard word), and the kernel is the functional characteristic of all word referents (it ensures its reference).
In the first chapter in the referential key, the main values of the specific vocabulary (nouns and verbs) are determined: Chair, chair, stool, banana, bouquet, tree, lake ", hit, fall, take / take, climb, draw, stand, Sit, lie, hang, go, run, crawl, walk, jump, ride.
The second chapter is dedicated to the abstract words type game, alive. They do not have a common prototype, so their basic value comes down to the kernel. The chapter gives the definition of the main values (cores) of the word / play, freedom, now, old, time, alive / living. In the final paragraph, a comic concept is considered
