The book analyzes the peripetics of the classical, coming from Descartes, an understanding of the reflection associated with the prerequisite for the initial identity of the learning entity and the subject of self-knowledge. The author proves that even those thinkers who seem to be abandoned by classical reflection (existentialists, analytical philosophers, supporters of a communicative approach, postmodernists arguing about the "death of the subject") implicitly depending on it. Critical analysis is for the author the basis for the development of the non-reflective concept of self-knowledge, which must overcome the dead end of the traditional theory
