Closed chest trauma. Diagnostic problems

The book describes the features of clinical and radiological diagnosis of injuries and early complications of closed chest trauma. An analysis of objective reasons hindering the main and additional research methods is conducted. Signs of difficult-to-detect injuries and complications of chest trauma, such as pneumothorax, hemothorax, atelectasis, and diaphragm rupture, are shown on 240 X-rays. The clinical significance of tension in small pneumothorax in polytrauma is noted for the first time. A comparative characteristic and algorithm of differential diagnosis of acute diffuse lung injuries in trauma are provided.
