Anthony Burgess is an English writer and literary scholar who became famous thanks to his psychological dystopian novel "A Clockwork Orange". In his frightening version of the future, with the onset of darkness, hardened criminals begin to rule. The story is told from the perspective of the main character, Alex - a teenager who speaks in a strange slang, which vividly conveys his and his friends' disdain for the society in which they live.
