The textbook provides information on the epidemiology, clinical presentation of diseases, criteria for their diagnosis, differential diagnosis, basic principles of treatment, and prevention. It reflects modern views on the etiology, pathogenesis, and classification of the main rheumatological diseases. In preparing this textbook, materials from Federal standards and clinical recommendations, the latest scientific and scientific-practical conferences and symposiums, recommendations of the Russian Cardiological Society and the Association of Rheumatologists of Russia, the World Health Organization, and others were used. The authors also used fragments of their articles published in peer-reviewed journals and materials of textbooks with the approval of the Academic Council, published by publishers in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Novokuznetsk. The textbook is intended for doctors and clinical residents studying in the postgraduate professional education system in the specialties of 'Therapy,' 'General Medical Practice (Family Medicine),' 'Cardiology,' 'Rheumatology,' as well as for medical students studying in the specialties of 'Medicine' and 'Pediatrics.' 2nd edition, revised and expanded.
