The English-Dutch wars of the XVII century were caused mainly by the economic rivalry of England and the Dutch Republic. The first war was announced by Holland in response to the adoption by the English Parliament of the navigation act 1651 g, aimed against the Dutch mediation trade. The second war also declared Holland in January 1665, but in fact it began in the 1664th seizure of the British Maritime Expedition of the Dutch Colony in North America - New Amsterdam. The Third English-Dutch War worked closely with the previous military events, France performed the main opponent in the New War of the Dutch Republic. These wars were carried out mainly at sea and played a significant role in the development of fleets and naval arts. The next book series tells about the well-known and unknown sea battles and heroes of the Anglo-Dutch wars
