The amazing theatrical storyteller Eugene Lvovich Schwartz (1896-1958) was familiar with the poetics of the avant-garde, and with artistic search for Oberetov, but Hans Christian Andersen became the main creative mentor for him. Through all the works of the playwright, there is a cheerful belief of the Andersen boy who saw the king without pants: "... and he is naked!"
