The Danish kingdom is famous for the abundance of the old gentlemen estates. Many years ago, a little girl named Kristina lived in one of them. Andersen who was able to cut the bizarre figures from paper, about each of which the whole story was seized for students. Kristina"s babe, like all the children, loved the stories of "cute Andersen", he also knew their premil, long and short. And Andersen often gave the children of his friends handedly made by him "books with pictures". He took a clean notebook and was taken to stick into it images carved from books and magazines, but if the pictures were lacking for a planned composition, he painted them or cut the silhouettes of fabulous characters from paper. The children were delighted with such gifts! Once Christina, sitting on his knees at the grandfather of the Grandfather, dreamily sighed: Ah, how would I like to have such a book! Christina Stampe received as a gift from H. K. Andersen and Grandparents are an amazingly colorful and entertaining album. For its manufacture, friends used a wide variety of sources: French illustrated leaves, German magazines, Danish newspapers, books. They collected more than a thousand tenderloin and, connoisitive, stuck them for each of the 123 sheets of the album. Working on his decoration, Andersen, along the way, fit here, then there are witty children"s poems, and also personally cut out and pasted five intricate paper silhouettes on his pages
