This brochure continues the series of publications of online conferences that took place on the website of the Preobrazhenskoye Community of Small Orthodox Brotherhoods from 2010 to 2012. The brochure, under the general title 'Christian Family: Elders and Younger Ones,' includes topics such as the role of elders in the family, raising children in Christian families, and how to raise a missionary.
Why is the man traditionally considered the elder in a Christian family, and what should be done if he cannot take responsibility for the family in reality? Does the Christian family still exist today, and can there be a unified approach to Christian child-rearing when children are so different? How can one instill in a child the mercy necessary for a missionary? These and other questions are answered in the spirit of Christian tradition by individuals whose service to God and the Church is connected to the topic at hand. This allows them to draw on their experience in resolving various issues.
