This is the name of the third volume of the works of the outstanding French researcher Louis Sharbon -Lisse - the Christian Symbol, archaeologist, historian, local historian, heraldist, sigillof and numismatist (the first two volumes called the bestiary of Christ " already saw the light in our publishing house in 2017 and 2018).
The fate of the "mystical book of the Russian Academy of Sciences" (or "Wulneraria of Christ") itself is amazing and mysterious: the book was already ready for publication, but mysteriously disappeared several years after the death of the author. However, thanks to the stubborn efforts of modern French scientists, who worked for several years in the archives of Louis Sharmono Lesse, it was able to recreate it almost in its original form.
The book is a logical continuation of the bestiaria of Christ ", although its main topic is to disclose and interpret Signaculum Domini - the original press of the five wounds of Jesus Christ and the source of the entire subsequent Christian iconography of the West and East. On the pages of the work, the author especially pays attention to the history and formation of the cult of the heart of Jesus, associated with the side wound of the Savior, inflicted by the Holy spear Sotnik Longin after his procession of death.
The first edition of the "Wulneraria of Christ" in Russian is preceded by an article by the translator Vladimir Tkachenko-Gildebrandt about the unknown facts of life and research activities of Louis Sharbon-Lasse, as well as on the medieval mystic-house communities of France: the inner star and the brotherhood of the knights of the Divine paraklet, associated with the Templar tradition, in the archives of which the author gathered many of his information.
In Russian, the book is released for the first time and is intended both for persons interested in medieval Christian mysticism and esotericism, and for art historians and students of art history faculties of universities
