Arkady Rovner (1940-2019)-poet, writer and researcher of spiritual traditions-was formed in the Moscow literary and artistic, philosophical and mystical underground of the USSR of the 1960s. From 1973 to 1994 he taught eastern religions, Christian theology, modern mysticism at US universities. The editor of the bilingual literary and religious and philosophical magazine "Gnosis (1978-2006) and the Anthology of Gnosis (1982-1983, 1994), which formed a kind of bridge between the metaphysical art of Russia and the United States, published in New York and in Moscow.
