Here is a translation from Sanskrit of the famous work of Utpapalava (X century) "Treatise on the recognition of Ishvara", the most important philosophical work of Kashmir Shivaism. Utpapalav is one of the most influential philosophers of the Pratya -Bhidzhnya school. He was also a teacher of Lakshman Gupta, whose student in turn was Abkhinavagupta.
The book presents a translation from Sanskrit the second part of the treatise, which is a continuation of the previously published first part.
The main theme of the book is the recognition, comprehension of our true self, which is identical to Paramashiva, which embraces everything that exists. Utpapladeva consistently builds a picture of the all -encompassing self -awareness of paramashive as the true cause of creation, maintaining and dissolving the universe.
