What is art? This concept is so voluminous that it is almost impossible to give it an exact definition. Today, our world is literally flooded with cultural products. But in order for them to be called art, at least two conditions are needed.
Firstly, for art, to be art, two people are needed-the one who creates, and the one for whom he creates.
And secondly, if the one who creates will limit his imagination by the real world, then he will constantly make attempts only to copy his beauty, he will do nothing more. And if what he creates will not find his addressee, then it will be just a certain object that is valuable only for its creator. After all, as you know, art is as a search for diamonds. They look for a hundred people, but finds one. But this one would never have found a diamond if a hundred people had not been looking for nearby. ”
It was this contradictory essence of art that Irji Kulka introduced in his book. It covered all kinds of art - cinema, music, art, dramatic works, architecture, photography, etc. - explaining the mechanisms of their influence on a person, including psychotherapeutic potential.
Psychology of art ”is a kind of encyclopedia for all those who want or are already engaged in art, as well as for those who will be interested to know why art can have such a strong and voluminous effect on our lives
