Spiritual search B.L. Pasternak, associated with his desire for “unheard of simplicity” and “pouring things with the lead of facts", in the "Doctor of the Zhivago" was due to the desire "on the topics of life and time ... to speak to the end." The novel absorbed the life experience of the writer and his reaction to world culture. Book S.G. Burova is devoted to the study of the influence that B.L. Pasternaka Masonic and alchemical initiative traditions. "Dr. Zhivago" is read as a text modeled by the components of the Masonic ritual, the process of alchemical great work and some Kabbalistic techniques. The author sought to identify the intertextual ties of the novel with Masonic and alchemical texts and works of Russian and foreign literature of the XIX-XX centuries. The book, which takes into account the rich experience of pastry of the last decades, is a new interpretation of the "Doctor Zhivago" and a kind of detailed commentary to it, complementing the existing ones. The novel in a new reading appears to be an esoteric work, requiring a deeper understanding than what allowed some contemporaries for the sake of a red word to call it "brilliant failure"
