There are many biographies of outstanding Sufis of the past, but little can read about the modern Sufi master, who had to deal with the problems of the 20th century.
In this book, an attempt was made to tell about the early years of the life of Dr. Javad Nurbakhsh, who was the head of the Sufi Brotherhood of Nimatullahi for 55 years. Recreating the main points of his life, this book tells about the character of Dr. Nurbakhsh and the facts of his biography, inaccessible from any other sources. At the end of the book, an interview was given by the author in December 1997. In it, Javad Nurbakhh concerns a wide range of issues, from the relationship of Sufism and Islam and ending with the nature of death. Dr. Nurbakhsh never answered a number of questions before. In addition, the book includes the selected poems of Javad Nurbakhsh and the glossary of the Sufi terms. The author of the book is one of the dervishes of brotherhood
