The book of A. Sinnett “Esoteric Buddhism”, along with the “Secret Doctrine” by E.P. Blavatsky is the cornerstone of Theosophy. She was published in 1883 and made a revolution in the view of Europeans about Indian cosmology. It was written on the basis of a series of letters received by the author from the legendary Himalayan teachers - Mahatma Kut Khumi and Mahatma Moria, as well as through E.P. Blavatsky. Thanks to this fundamental work, European readers received a new idea of the structure of microcosm and macrocosm, about the evolution of man and the universe, about the purpose and meaning of being. The topics scheduled in this book still make up the main content of the esoteric discourse, and the terminology in it formed the basis of the conceptual-catheraeine apparatus of Theosophia
