“Bhagavad-gita” (“Song of God”) is a fragment of the longest poem in the world, the ancient Indian epic “Mahabharata”. Like the Old Testament, Mahabharata is not a whole narrative, but a collection of stories. In the Bhagavad-gita there is a conversation between Prince Arjuna and his charioteer, the embodiment of the guardian god Vishnu, Krishna. This passage has long outgrew the Mahabharata itself and became an independent book - one of the most sacred books not only of Hinduism, but also of the whole of mankind, indicating the path to the seekers of truth.
