This study is performed in the key of applied cultural and historical psychology. Applied ki-psychology is a young science that still defines its methods, so the approach applied in this study may seem unexpected and requires explanation.
The subject of any psychology should be either the soul, or its manifestation, or its interaction with the body. For a long, very long time, the last part was the main and almost the only one. It is generally called psychophysiology, but in fact it was manifested in almost all academically recognized psychological disciplines.
The second part of the science of the soul, as the science of its manifestations, was in a fairway. And even when psychology, such as the official cultural and historical psychology of Michael Cole or the science of behavior in Russia and America, tried not to work with psychophysiological material, they involuntarily proceeded from the fact that any psychology is only the development of psychophysiology. And psychophysiology is the pinnacle of psychological thought, since it gives a psychologist hope to once become equal among equals with naturalists.
Nothing but the scientist’s dream of real public recognition, which the Queen of Physics had once managed to earn, was not in the physiologists to be a breakthrough of psychologists. In other words, the transformation of the once existing psychology into a branch of physiology did not have real scientific grounds and was just a manifestation of social or cultural and historical psychology of psychologists themselves.
If this is somehow clear, then we can assume, we determined our own subject of ki-psychology. This is the environment through which the soul affects the behavior of people. As a matter of fact, our consciousness that stores the content, accumulating depending on the general culture in which we live, and the personal history of each person.
Based on this understanding of the subject of ki-psychology, the study proposed to readers is built. It is almost entirely devoted to the environment in which we exist, as in Russian society. At the same time, the author himself, in order to show this environment, uses a technique used in self -knowledge - shows how this environment manifested itself in its personal history.
If you simply say this, I used my memories to start a great discussion of such a concept as sectarianism, widely used in Russian society. This discussion took place in September-October 2005 on the Internet and was conducted both through the website of the Academy of Self-knowledge and on network newsletters for all interested parties. Participation in it was taken by several hundred people around the world. In any case, our correspondents wrote from various countries - from Australia to Spain.
Outwardly, the study began as an attempt by one of the social movements of modern Russia, called the Trojanov path, to protect against the persecution of the persecution against it on the Russian Internet. If we take into account that our Internet is trapping everything that is moving from Richard Bach, Tolkienists and Coelho to any practical psychologist who decided to lean out from a less or less unconventional methodology, the state of the network that was by the beginning of the discussion on the path could be possible Count quite prosperous.
It simply hung several articles of many years ago, which were not updated and habitually ceased to be perceived by those who know at least something about the trail, which had already deceived in Bose for several years. However, the owners of one of the sites, called the “open consciousness”, decided to create the illusion of the modernity of these articles and made mistakes: they indicated the names of two institutions that are now acting and related to the Academy of Self -knowledge. These references turned out to be in essence the subject to initiate criminal prosecution under the article on the spread of information discrediting the honor and dignity of a Russian citizen.
We used this mistake in order to start a discussion of the phenomenon of interest to us, and suggested that they conduct a full study of all the concepts that they used, starting from the destructive sect and up to paganism and New Eiga. As for the defendants, they at first fidgeted and rude, and then simply escaped, closing the site. In this sense, our study did not take place, but it was extremely indicative for the entire state of affairs in Russian society.
But the study of the concepts of “destructive sect”, “totalitarian sect”, “neo-language” and “new-year-old non-oralism” was necessary for me personally only to launch the study itself. The fact is that the trail was created by me initially with an eye on a scientific study of ethnographic material that fell into my hands, which can be called Russian folk psychology. And all the years of its existence, I called the path of my experimental ethnopsychological laboratory, which did not cause resistance to any of its participants. In other words, it is not difficult to make excuses in what you really have not been.
But it is difficult to really explore psychologically concepts like “sectarianism” if you do not have material for this. In other words, with all the desire, we could not conduct a study of the psychology of sectarianism on the example of the path, although it could serve as a model of a sect, an artificially created psychologist for an experimental study of the consciousness of the people included in it.
But I could conduct a much more interesting study with her example!
If you ask yourself, you will obviously see: in our society, the question of sectarianism, psychological dependence on sects, the impact on the consciousness of people and the subordination of their will with sects and various guru is somehow discussed. You even probably know that many people, including, probably, psychologists, conducts research on this phenomenon.
But did you hear that at least one psychologist investigates what makes people engage in antisectantism?
I was engaged in this issue, I in one way or another raised the relevant literature and did not find a single such essay. Meanwhile, antisectanism is a rather gloomy component of our social psychology, and is definitely not so correct from the point of view of impact on life.
Very often those who would like to revive totalitarianism are pampering with it, but even more often there are simply crooks who enjoy the poisonous and catching some kind of “fish” in muddy water. I’m afraid that antisectangism is also used in order to sow in Russia an atmosphere of mutual hatred and disunity and break us under a noise. Antisectanism is a complex social phenomenon in which it is definitely necessary to distinguish the guns of protection from the decomposing influence of various destructive sects and the tools of destruction of the Russian state and the public union, which allows us to exist together
