Chinese Language. Military Translation. Beginner's Course: Textbook

The beginner's course of military translation in Chinese language is the first part of the basic textbook on the discipline of "military translation". It is intended for listeners of military schools and military training centers, and can also be used as an additional teaching aid for special courses on translation to/from Chinese language. The material of the textbook consists of four main topics, which are fundamental for the professional thesaurus of a military translator: "Organizational and Staff Structure and Military Ranks", "Military Uniform", "Ground Forces", "Weapons and Military Equipment: Air Force and Navy". The textbook aims to develop translation competence, primarily communicative, text-generating, and subject-specific sub-competences, and is predominantly focused on comprehensive development of consecutive oral translation skills in the military sphere.
