A collection of translations and transfers of Indian poetry, made by a poet, translator and essayist Yuri Klyuch Klyuchov, reflects the long -standing interest of the author of translations to the Indian topic: at one time he published a large book of his travels “I was looking for Russia in India. Ariaward wanderings. This collection includes both the translations and shifts of the Indian epic (“Bhagavadgit”, excerpts from poems created by such authors as Valmiki, Tiruvalluvar and Kalidas), and translated and shifted works related to the topic of love and philosophical lyrics of the XIV -XX centuries . The collection includes 320 poems, miniatures and chapters from poems. Themes of Indian poetry, which have always aroused interest among Russian poets, are at the same time diverse and familiar - the life path of man, spiritual and religious searches, love, traditional family values, friendship, suffering and compassion for the weak of this world, the beauty of Indian nature, leprosy and pranks of young Indian gods. The unique intonations inherent in every poet, the beauty of ancient and modern texts, the breadth of the coverage of Indian poetry make a collection attractive to a wide range of readers.
