Sofya Leonidovna Prokofieva was born in Moscow in 1928. Since childhood, the girl loved books and read a lot, especially she liked the tales of G.Kh. Andersen and the tales of P.P. Bazhova. Sophia wrote poetry (they subsequently praised Boris Pasternak), she painted well. Her father was an artist. By accidentally seeing the sketches that the daughter made on the scraps of paper, he noticed the girl’s talent and seriously engaged in her training. Three years later, Sophia entered the graphic faculty of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute, after which she began to work as an illustrator artist.
However, the literature attracted it more and more. When she had a son, Sofya Leonidovna began to write fairy tales for the children: first for the kids, and then for those who are older. She wrote more than 30 books, and each of the stories she told is full of miracles, happy accidents, extraordinary meetings - but it always turns out that there is not enough magic to win and happiness: more honesty, friendship and fidelity are needed. No magic pills and wonderful abilities will help a person if he is greedy, evil, insincere.
Young readers immediately loved the tales of Sofia Leonidovna. According to her scenarios, several cartoons were shot (including the cartoon "Student of the Wizard") and films, and the film adaptation of the story "The Adventures of the Yellow Suitcase" was marked by prestigious international awards. Tales of Sophia Leonidovna Prokofieva are translated into 20 languages, and the guys all over the world with interest and pleasure read them: after all, friendship, sincerity and decency are those things that do not depend on the country where you live, and on the language you speak.
One of the heroes of the fairy tale "Student of the Wizard" is an ordinary schoolboy: he dreams of adventures, sometimes likes to grab, make mistakes - and is not afraid to correct them. Another hero is a real wizard, but the third is the cat Vaska, who once learned a powerful spell. Because of this, the spells in the zoo disappeared the predators, the genie turned into a mouse, anxiety was declared in the city, and the wizard Alyosha almost quarreled with his friends. Fortunately, real friendship, courage and responsibility are stronger than any spells, and therefore this extraordinary story ended well
