Eduard Bagritsky is the largest Soviet poet of the generation of the first “revolutionary romantics” who came to literature after the poets of the Silver Age and husbands during the Civil War and the Revolution, inspired by its ideals. The early death of Bagritsky (he was 38 years old) cut off his life at the peak of creative forces, and in the following years his image became one of the Soviet legends - the image of a new world fastened by steel and lead.
