Boris Stepanovich Zhitkov (1882-1938)-a famous children"s writer, teacher and traveler. The future writer spent his childhood in Odessa, in the gymnasium years became friends with K.I. Chukovsky. Having tamed Murka, he takes responsibility for her and, when his house begins to attack street dogs, sends a cat to live with fishermen - to where she will be safe and always fed. Love for animals and nature, the ability to make subtle observations and notice the habits of animals, a clear and clear language make B.S."s stories Zhitkova is very bright and realistic, allow you to vividly imagine a picture of the events described.
