Hamdam Zakirov (b. 1966) spent his childhood and youth in Ferghana. He studied at the Higher Naval Engineering School. F. Dzerzhinsky in Leningrad, in Tashkent and Ferghana universities. He worked as a correspondent and editor of newspapers, an applied theater, a museum employee, the owner of a bukinistic tray in the market. From 1994 to 2001 he lived in Moscow, then in Finland. In 1996, a book of poems "Ferghana" was published in the library of the Mitin magazine. Publications in Russian and foreign Russian -speaking publications. Translations into English, Hungarian, Spanish, Italian, Latvian, German, Finnish, French, Estonian. Poems have been published in translations to Estonian (2015) and Finnish (2016) The curator of the Internet projects "Library of Ferghana" and "Russian Kawafiana". Lives in Helsinki
