Vasyutkino Lake

The book of the famous writer Viktor Astafyev (1924–2010) included two works.
In the story “Vasyutkino Lake”, the author describes the taiga life on behalf of the thirteen -year -old boy Vasyutka. Once he went to the taiga and got lost, but was able to overcome the fear and difficulties experienced by him alone in the taiga. He walked in the lower Yenisei for five days until he went out on people. And the unknown lake he discovered by him was forever called Vasyutkin. In the “Belogrodka” work, the writer talks about a marten who desperately defended her cubs. These two stories are included in the program for extracurricular reading in elementary school.
