Alexander Triponovich Tvardovsky (1910–1971) - Russian writer, poet and prose writer, laureate of state prizes, the owner of many orders and awards.
The poet’s work reflected complex, turning point in the history of the country and the life of the people. The entire World Warrior War, Tvardovsky worked as a military correspondent, having passed with the current army from Moscow to Koenigsberg.
The lyro-epic poem Vasily Terkin (1941-1945) is the most famous work of Tvardovsky. “The book about the fighter,” as the author himself called it, describes the events of the front -line life, thoughts and feelings of man in the war.
The poem was unusual popular at the front and brought the author of genuine fame.
