Valentina Aleksandrovna Oseeva (1902-1969) dreamed of becoming an actress, but by the will of fate she became a teacher and teacher in children"s communes and receivers for homeless children. In 1955 and in 1957, the first two parts of the novel were filmed ("Vasyok Trubachev and his comrades" and "Trubachev’s detachment fights").
