Poetic collections of Joseph Brodsky “Stop in the desert”, “End of the beautiful era”, “part of speech”, “new stans by August”, “Urania” and “Landscape with a flood” for a long time remained inaccessible to Russian readers, except for “Samizdat” . In the 1970-1990s, these books were published by the American publishing house Ardis. Brodsky gratefully wrote that Karl Profer, one of the founders of Ardis, managed to maintain the continuity of the development of Russian literature and its high significance, to save many Russian writers and poets from oblivion.
The Urania collection, first published in 1987, includes poems of the 1970-1980s. The Landscaping Landing, the last poetic collection of Joseph Brodsky, was published in 1996 after his death, the book included poems of the 1980-1990s.
In this publication, such well -known works as the autumn scream of the hawk, Dedicated to the stool, Roman elegies, Christmas star, view from the hill and others are printed in this publication
