Vsevolod Mikhailovich Garshin (1855–1888) - Russian writer, poet, art critic. A pleasant valley of the Yekaterinoslav province (territory of modern Ukraine) was born in the estate in the family of an officer, a participant in the Crimean war. A significant impact on life and worldview V.M. Garshin was given a family drama, which he experienced at the age of five. His mother fell in love with P.V. Zavadsky, who was engaged in the upbringing of older children in the Garshin family. Zavadsky was the organizer of a secret political society, and when he was exiled to Petrozavodsk, Garshin"s mother left his family and moved to Petersburg to be able to visit the exile. After graduating from the gymnasium in 1874, V.M. Garshin entered the Mountain Institute, but the Russian -Turkish war that began in 1877 interrupted his studies - V.M. Garshin entered the army volunteered. His personal impressions of the war formed the basis of the story "Four days" (1877), which was published in the journal "Domestic Notes" - this is the name of V.M. Garshin
